We provide a safe environment and specific tools to help you to ultimately lead a happier life.
The Problem is not you.
It's the tools you are using.
Grief is the normal and natural emotional response to loss,
but most of the information we’ve learned about dealing with loss is intellectual.
Grief is also the conflicting feelings we experience when a familiar pattern or behavior has changed or ended.
Effective Grief Recovery must deal with your broken heart,
which requires emotional support instead of intellectual explanations.

When is it time to begin to recover?
If you fell down and gashed your leg and blood was pouring out,
would you immediately seek medical attention?
The obvious answer is YES.
If circumstances and events conspired to break your heart,
would you see attention immediately,
or would you allow yourself to bleed to death emotionally?
Have you been told to "let go and move on" or to grieve differently? Did anyone tell you how?
We can.

FAQs
WHAT IS THE GRIEF RECOVERY® PROGRAM? It’s a once-a-week face-to-face meeting that gives you the tools, space, and support to work through and release the pain of a major life loss. The program lasts seven to twelve weeks, depending on the size of your program (one-on-one vs. group). One-on-ones usually last seven weeks and group programs usually last eight to twelve weeks.
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ONE-ON-ONE AND GROUP PROGRAMS? In a one-on-one program, you’ll work directly with me. You’ll hear my story and get direct support from me throughout. In a group program, you’ll work with me as well as others. You’ll hear my story as well as the stories of others and get support from the group through the later weeks of the program.
WHAT LOSSES ARE OK TO WORK ON? All losses are welcome! Death, divorce, and diagnosis are the most common, but there are over 43 losses that can cause grief, including moving, relationship changes, health changes, empty nest, graduation, retirement, end of addictions, unmet hopes, dreams & expectations, loss of a pet, loss of a job, loss of trust, loss of faith, …
WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM OUT TIME TOGETHER? During each two hour session, you’ll be welcomed into a confidential, non-judgmental space where you’ll be expected to share the truth of your story as it happened to you. You’ll also be expected to complete weekly reading and homework assignments. From me, you can expect open ears and an open heart ready to receive your story. I’m also available to answer logistical questions about the program.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING? A notebook and something to write with. Books and worksheets will be provided for you.
DO I HAVE TO ATTEND EVERY SESSION? Yes. If you miss a one-on-one session, you’ll be asked to reschedule your session with the possibility of incurring a fee. If you miss a group session after the first two weeks, you’ll be asked to leave the program with the opportunity to finish with another group at another time.
HOW IS THE GRIEF RECOERY METHOD® DIFFERENT FROM THERAPY? The Grief Recovery Method® is a series of steps specifically designed to help you recover from major loss within a set time frame. Unlike traditional therapy, The Grief Recovery Method® comes with a preestablished framework, a distinct focus on grief, and a limited number of meetings.
